John Carrington has been appointed to Vice President of Parts and Services. He will further increase Blue Bird's dynamic parts and service revenue growth by working closely with our dealer network and capitalizing on rising school bus repair and maintenance activities.
John is a nearly 30-year industry veteran with extensive sales, operational and P&L experience managing service organizations for global equipment manufacturers. He joins us from JCB Inc, a leading maker of construction, agricultural and defense equipment, where he served as General Manager of Aftermarket since May 2018. Prior to that John held diverse senior management roles. He led Terex Cedarapids' Aftermarket group, PTC's service lifecycle strategy and marketing team, and Metso Minerals' field service and repair businesses globally.
John holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto.
