Phil Horlock was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Blue Bird in July 2023. Before then, he held the position of Blue Bird President and CEO since May 2023, a leadership role he previously maintained from April 2011 through November 2021.
Britton Smith was appointed President of Blue Bird in July 2023. Britton joined the company in March 2022 as Senior Vice President, Electrification and Chief Strategy Officer.
Razvan has over 20 years of financial and operating experience at Daimler Trucks, where he held various roles of increasing responsibility in Finance and Procurement, including IT, compliance and investor relations.
Ted Scartz is Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Blue Bird Corporation. He also serves as Corporate Secretary for the company. He leads all aspects of Blue Bird's Legal function, drawing on his broad expertise in legal management, corporate governance, SEC reporting, and governmental relations, as well as commercial contracts and litigation.
Senior Vice President Engineering
Jeff is an industry veteran with over 27 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, and engineering. Earlier in his career, Jeff held various management roles of increasing responsibility within operations at Visteon. Jeff also held senior manufacturing roles at Navistar prior to returning to Blue Bird in 2015. Jeff has been with Blue Bird for over 12 years total, most recently serving as VP of Manufacturing. He was promoted to his current role as SVP of Engineering in May 2022.
Vice President Parts & Services
John Carrington has been appointed to Vice President of Parts and Services. He will further increase Blue Bird's dynamic parts and service revenue growth by working closely with our dealer network and capitalizing on rising school bus repair and maintenance activities.
Vijay has over 20 years of lean, quality and continuous process improvement experience. Most recently in operations/manufacturing, Vijay has held leadership roles with Daikin Manufacturing and Whirlpool Corporation.
Steve Girardin is President and CEO of Micro Bird Inc, a joint venture between Blue Bird and the Girardin Family. Mr. Girardin has more than 25 years of innovation, manufacturing, sales, service and fleet operations experience in the North American bus industry. Mr. Girardin has spent the last 20 years successfully leading and transforming Micro Bird Inc into a North American market leader. Mr. Girardin also participates on various Boards and management committees for 2 Blue Bird dealerships and a leading Québec school bus operator.
