Safety is Standard - not Optional.

The All American FE Diesel bus features:

  • Exceptional driver-forward visibility
  • Best-in-class turning radius
  • Unique mirror systems - improving driver awareness and increasing child safety
  • 90% cleaner emissions than in 2006
  • Ultra-low sulfur fuel usage

Adding to health protection for students and improved air quality in communities, the All American FE Diesel includes proven selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology.

In the SCR system, nitrous oxide gas is injected with diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), which reacts with the catalyst. That reaction breaks the nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions down into harmless nitrogen and water vapor. These components are a pure and natural part of the air we breathe. The nitrogen and water vapor then pass harmlessly through the tailpipe.

At Blue Bird, safety is built-in.

At Blue Bird, we don't cut corners when it comes to safety. We build our buses with safety as the number one priority- always.

The All American FE Diesel’s after-treatment system allows the bus to meet the latest, near-zero nitrogen oxide (NOx) and particulate matter emissions levels. In fact, our diesel buses are over 90% cleaner than they were in 2006.

On-board diagnostic instruments monitor the emissions system’s performance.

Our All American FE Diesel buses offer the industry’s largest DEF tank at 15 gallons, which better aligns with typical service intervals.

The Blue Bird All American FE is equipped with 50,000 PSI C-channel steel frame rails, giving this bus major stability and durability for increased performance.

Blue Bird understands that Budget is a key factor in bus choice.

Calculating the Total Cost of Ownership, or (TCO), allows you to select a bus with confidence, because you will know you are getting the best return on your investment.

TCO is determined based on...
  • Initial purchase price, taking into account...
    • Fuel costs over time
    • Maintenance costs over time
    • Projected bus lifespan

If your fleet has invested in diesel power, the All American FE Diesel bus is a great choice, because:

The Blue Bird All American FE Diesel bus is priced similarly to other manufacturers, and comes with Blue Bird's attention to quality and durability, increasing the lifespan of your bus.

Shared parts commonality with our Blue Bird Vision Diesel models makes it less expensive to have a mixed fleet of bus types.

The new, self-contained SCR system from Cummins makes it easier to perform maintenance tasks on our All American FE Diesel buses, and our DEF tanks are the largest in the industry at 15 gallons, which better aligns with typical service intervals.

The All American FE Diesel bus delivers economical training and easy maintenance that saves time because of:

  • Enhanced service doors
  • Proven performance
  • Simple service strategy

To top it all off, the Blue Bird All American FE Diesel comes with a
5-Year, 100,000-mile engine warranty from Cummins.

Diesel engines rarely need to be replaced, and diesel buses are known for high resale value. The All American FE Diesel is no exception. The All American FE Diesel’s best-in-class engines are covered by a standard 5-year, 100,000-mile warranty by Cummins.

All these factors combine to further reduce your Total Cost of Ownership.
